Physiotherapy is an umbrella term for various therapy methods for the treatment of health disorders, in particular complaints of the musculoskeletal system. For further information, please visit our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) or contact us directly.

Physiotherapy is paid for by basic insurance on medical prescription.

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy consists of both passive techniques and active exercises. It is gentle on the joints and can supplement physiotherapy treatment.

Fascia therapy: Fascia therapy with (or without) fascia roller can be used to loosen fascia. This therapy can relieve acute and chronic pain, increase mobility and wellbeing - this often leads to a new feeling of vitality and lightness!

Joint mobilization / manipulation: Mobilization comprises passive exercises in which the physiotherapist “moves” the patient's body, which is often bedridden. Postural exercise is an area in which those affected strengthen weakened muscles through targeted athletic exercises. This area includes B. the back schools, which bring relief after acute pain has subsided.

Sports physiotherapy and Replacement Training

Sports rehab, postoperative rehab, posture correction, kinesio taping / taping classic.

The basis of all exercises is the activation of the powerhouse: the muscles that stabilize the spine, the deep core muscles and the pelvic floor. A stable center is the prerequisite for optimally coordinated movement sequences, in sport as in everyday life. This results in increased power development, improved coordination and injury prevention.

Trigger point therapy / Dry needling

Trigger points are often overlooked as a source of acute and chronic pain. The hardening in the muscle often triggers pain in different parts of the body. An alternative to trigger point therapy with the hands is Dry Needling. The therapist uses a fine needle to puncture the trigger point. The penetration of the needle is hardly noticeable, but the violent twitching of the muscle when the hardened area is hit is visible.

Kinesio-Taping / Classic Tape

This form of physiotherapy becomes more and more popular – also with us at Physiohelvetia. We use it for muscle pain (muscle tightness, muscle tear), tendons and skelettal problems. The therapy consists of sticking elastic stripes along the problematic body structure. The kinesio tapes have a reflective effect and increase blood and lymph circulation, thereby accelerating the performance of the muscles in everyday life.

Back school

Would you like to prevent back problems at an early stage or prevent them from getting back pain again? Then a back training course is the right choice for you. Back school is a treatment concept that serves to prevent back pain and treat patients with back pain. Our goal is to teach back-friendly behavior on the one hand and to strengthen the abdominal and back muscles through various exercises and to provide relaxation on the other.

The manual lymphatic drainage, a form of manual therapy, avoid lymph static Edema. We recommend manual lymphatic drainage especially after surgeries and traumas

Rolfing / Structural Integration

At Physiohelvetia we offer a very effective alternative therapy: Rolfing / Structural Integration. Rolfing theory believes that the state of our connective tissues – and their relation with gravity – plays a key role on the developement of physical and emotional issues. The organ that connects all the inner structures of the human body is known as Fascia (so called “organ of the form”). That’s why Rolfing is described as Fascia therapy. A conscious, precise and focused mobilization of the Fascia effects holistically on the human body.
